Kate Speevak is a guest character in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. She is the Pawnee citizen who opposes Leslie Knope turning the Sullivan Street Pit into a park. She says that she just doesn't like living near parks.
Kate vows to attend the public meeting and voice her disapproval after a frustrated Leslie says, "You don't care about your kids if you don't support this park." Led by Kate, the crowd at the public forum says they do not support the proposal and are angry an environmental study has not been conducted. Leslie tries to pretend April Ludgate is a supportive resident, but one of the audience members recognizes her from the canvassing and Kate cries out that "they have planted people in the audience!"
Tom Haverford also admitted to being oddly attracted to her.
