Buddy Wood is Indianapolis’ number one talk show host. The last five city council candidates to appear on his program won their respective elections. In the episode "Lucky", Leslie has the opportunity to have an interview with Buddy. Their interview was cancelled, but was then on again after Buddy's flight was cancelled. While Leslie wanted to talk about the issues during the interview, such as airport workers' salaries not being raised since the 1990s, Buddy mostly wanted to talk about her affair with Ben Wyatt. Leslie eventually gets "the crazy look" and admits to Buddy she's had a couple of drinks. In a panic, the group goes on an overnight trip in Tom's hottub limo in order to beg Buddy to not air the footage. Unfortunately, the Pawnee airport had lost Buddy's bag, along with the footage.
